About Doitsu Kohaku
Kohaku is the foundation of the Gosanke ("Big Three") and the most iconic koi variety. A great Kohaku has crisp snow-white (shiroji), deep even red (hi), and a balanced pattern that flows naturally down the body. The Doitsu (scaleless) form removes the scales — the pattern reads with graphic, poster-like clarity.
