Why it works
The signature lotus-root shape — a cylinder with seven long channels through it — hugely increases the water contact area, while the porous ceramic body contains nanopores that host beneficial nitrifying bacteria (Nitrosomonas and Nitrobacter). These bacteria convert toxic ammonia and nitrite into far less harmful nitrate, giving your koi the clear, stable water they need to thrive.

How to use
Rinse gently in dechlorinated pond water before use (never tap water — chlorine kills bacteria). Place in the biological stage of your filter, after mechanical filtration. Allow 4–6 weeks for full colonisation. Rinse only if flow drops noticeably — less is more.
